The SAPS Honoree page is to honor Individuals who are role models of professional excellence and who personify the SAPS mission of inspiring and mentoring future generations. These are individuals who supported or contributed to SAPS in a meaningful way.

Mohammed Gorashi 

Mohammed received his first Bachelor of Science degree at California State University, Long Beach – School of Engineering and Technology, followed by a second B.S. degree in Marketing from California State University, Los Angeles. He went on to receive two master’s degrees from Cal State Long Beach and an Executive Management MBA from the Claremont Graduate School of Business in 1992.

Mohammed started his career as an Engineer with Procter & Gamble in 1981, then moved on to Alpha Therapeutic Corporation in Los Angeles in 1987. He proceeded to progress in his career working for multiple organizations manufacturing pharmaceuticals, “Nutraceuticals”, food processing and cosmetics. He held Director of Manufacturing positions at multiple corporations including Standard Homeopathic & Hylands in Los Angeles, Kroger Manufacturing in La Habra, Hero Nutritionals in San Clemente, NBTY (Nature’s Bounty N.Y.) and finally at Hain Celestials in Los Angeles where they manufactured healthy, earth friendly food stuffs and personal care items.

Mohammed was a hands-on leader, a dynamic team builder with a strategic vision. He had an immense passion for mentoring people throughout various stages of their careers, whether it was friends, acquaintances, members of the community or co-workers; he often maintained long term relationships with his mentees, long after their business relationships had concluded.
